Århus, (pronounced: Oar-Hoos) is the main city on the Jutland peninsula in Denmark. With a population of just over 300,000 people (1,200,000 East Jutland metropolitan area) it also holds the title of Denmarks second largest city.

The Danes are, overwhelmingly, a happy bunch. In fact, if you believe those contentment surveys that come out every couple of years, Denmark is one of the happiest nations on earth with some of the best quality of life.
